1. DISTRIBUTION TRANSFORMERS (UPTO 2500 KVA, 33 KV CLASS)
A. Hermetically sealed oil transformers
Hermetically sealed oil transformers are normally manufactured with a sealed tank equipped with fins that allow for the expansion at the said temperature variations. This type of transformer is the most widely used globally. In the hermetically sealed transformer, the oil does not come into contact with air and its electrical properties are therefore not compromised, ensuring a long life span of the transformer.
B. AMORPHOUS CORE TRANSFORMERS
Amorphous core transformers significantly reduce no-load losses by using an amorphous alloy for the iron core. The expected reduction in energy loss over conventional (Si Fe core) transformers is roughly around 70%, which is quite significant. By using an amorphous core – with unique physical and magnetic properties – these new type of transformers have increased efficiencies even at low loads – 98.5% efficiency at 35% load.
C. CAST RESIN DRY TYPE TRANSFORMERS
MAHASHAKTI manufactures cast resin transformers designed to meet customer specifications and as per IS and IEC standards. The range includes distribution transformers up to 5 MVA, 33 kV class with F (or) H class of insulation. The design and process followed in MAHASHAKTI ensures very low level of partial discharges. The main purposes of Dry Type Transformers are to eliminate Fire hazards, environmental contamination and maintenance. These transformers are generally used in Shopping Malls, Housing complexes etc.
D. ENERGY EFFICIENT TRANSFORMERS
Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE), Government of India, has brought out distribution transformers classified from Level 1 to Level 5 as per total losses. These transformers may be sealed or Non-sealed type in Copper / Aluminium windings. Mahashakti offers Energy Efficient transformers as per IS 1180 (Part 1): 2014.
E. SINGLE PHASE TRANSFORMERS
Mahashakti’s single-phase, oil-filled, pole-mounted distribution transformers are designed for servicing residential overhead distribution loads. They are also suitable for light commercial loads, industrial lighting and diversified power applications. These transformers are designed for the application conditions normally encountered on electric utility power distribution systems
2. POWER TRANSFORMERS
MAHASHAKTI manufactures wide range of oil filled transformers designed to meet the specification and various national and international standards. The range includes distribution & medium power transformers up to 50 MVA, 132 kV class.

Magnetic circuit
Terminal from core laminations Brought out of transformer and earthed, transformer insulation health can be checked without opening the transformer, and Insulation Resistance (megger) values can be checked between Core, LV, and HV & Tank.
Seal Breathing System
Seal breathing system keeps transformer active part (windings & core) 100% isolated from atmosphere.
Thermo syphon Filter
Extract all moisture generated inside the transformer due to chemical reactions. Solid insulation can store moisture 300 times more than liquid insulation so merely extraction of moisture from liquid insulation will be a futile work. Thermo syphon filter system works when windings are hotter than oil. The solid insulation moisture migrates to liquid insulation and therefore filters extracts moisture from oil while transformer is in operation so less outages and keeping transformer safe from filter machines.
Electro static shield
Electro static shield provided between LV & HV windings to suppress the harmonics, Protects sensitive loads connected to the secondary winding from electrostatic interference, shield helps maintain the transformer's performance, especially when dealing with high-frequency transients, Reduces noise and transients that can interfere with sensitive equipment.
